The Washington Horse Racing Commission (commission)
central office is located at the address listed
above. The commission also has field offices
located at the licensed racetracks in this state.
These field offices are open during the period
of training and live racing. When no live racing
is being conducted field offices are closed
for the season. During these times persons should
communicate directly with the central office
in Olympia.

The public may obtain or request information,
including copies of agency decisions by contacting
the commission’s central office in Olympia
or one of the field offices.
Commission staff located at the central office
or field offices normally handles a request
for information. Certain information related
to live horse racing is normally handled by
a member of the Board of Stewards. For information
on agency policies, procedures or to obtain
copies of agency decision, person should contact
the commission’s central office in Olympia.
The agency has promulgated the Rules of Racing
in Title 260 WAC. These rules can be viewed
at the Office of the Code Reviser’s web
site www.leg.wa.gov/CodeReviser. These rules
are also linked from the commission’s
web page at www.whrc.wa.gov. In addition to
the Rules of Racing, the commission also adopts
policy/interpretive statements designed to explain
agency policy related to these rules. Policy/Interpretive
Statements of the agency can also be obtained
